Your files stay yours.
Here’s how it works.
Last updated: October 19, 2026
1. Image processing
SwitchPic is designed to process selected images locally in your browser. The app does not upload your source images or converted image files to a SwitchPic conversion server. When supported by your browser, image conversion runs in a web worker to keep the interface responsive; some fallbacks may run on the main browser thread.
2. Third-party resources
SwitchPic uses the fonts already available on your device and does not fetch fonts from a font CDN. Only when you use a feature that needs them does the app request JavaScript libraries from jsDelivr: HEIC/HEIF decoding uses heic2any, and creating a ZIP archive uses JSZip. Those requests may expose standard connection data such as your IP address, browser information and requested URL to the CDN provider under its policies. The selected image is processed by the library in your browser; it is not intentionally sent to the library CDN as a file upload.
3. Logs, accounts and cookies
SwitchPic does not require an account and does not set app-specific cookies for image conversion. This version of the app does not intentionally transmit image names, image contents or conversion results to SwitchPic analytics. The hosting provider or infrastructure used to serve this website may keep standard server or security logs according to its own configuration and policies.
4. Data stored on your device
Selected files and conversion results are held in browser memory while you use the tool. Downloaded results are saved only when you initiate a download. Closing or refreshing the page may clear the current working batch; keep your originals until you have checked the output files.
5. Children and sensitive files
The tool is a general-purpose utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Although files are processed locally, use a trusted device and browser when working with confidential images, and understand that third-party resources may still be requested as described above.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised when the website or its dependencies change. The update date at the top indicates the latest revision shown here.
This page provides general privacy information and is not legal advice. If the implementation or infrastructure changes — for example, if analytics, advertising or a server-side processing service is added — this policy should be updated to describe the change accurately.
